Scouts Learn Vital First Aid Skills

The Scouts have been learnt some key skills in first aid including assessing a casualty, checking breathing and commencing CPR.

Scouts have also been demonstrated on the use of a AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)

Learning key skills at scout age gives a good basis for further training and first aid but also give Scouts the knowledge they need to help deal with any eventuality. A key piece of information which many seem to lack is the ability to asses when the Emergency Services are required, while also ensuring they have accurate information to relay to the Emergency Services Call Handler.
