Last night we hosted a Macmillan coffee evening and held our AGM.  It was lovely to see so many young people, parents, leaders and members of the community  enjoying a cake and coffee over a friendly chat! A huge thank you to all those who supported this very successful event from the cake bakers to the cake eaters and buyers! Also a big thank you to people who kindly gave a donation or provided a raffle prize.

To put the donations into perspective, £25 pays for a Macmillan nurse to support a family affected by cancer for one hour, £61 pays for 4 hours for a Macmillan benefits adviser to help someone struggling with the costs of cancer, £278 could keep a Macmillan information and support centre stocked for a month with all the resources it needs to support people affected by cancer and £370 could pay for the hire of a room for a year so a self-help and support group could hold regular meetings. 

Once again, thank you to all who baked, attended and supported 13th Eastleigh’s Macmillan Coffee Morning to help us raise money for people living with cancer.
